Bodylastics is a body exercise training tool that uses elastics bands instead of weights to provide workout resistance.  Instead of curling a dumbbell, you stand on the band and pull it upwards with your hand.  The stretching and contracting of the band provides the resistance.

Amazon users gave it a 5 out of 5.  They noted that the maximum resistance set can provide up to 70lbs - which is enough for most people - and can scale down in weight (tension) for people in bad shape.  They also noted that the tension bands are small and light enough to fit in a carry-on bag, so they are great for travelers.  Since most people have not worked out using this type of system, it could take a while to get used to.  Still, if you stick to a routine, you can build strength and tone your flab with these. Bodylastics is an excellent tool for anyone who want to turn their life around, but is short on time or money. The fitness bands are easy to carry, so you can exercise from home, work, or anyplace else.  While their may be a few advantages to using a full-blown gym, the Bodylastics tension bands definitely have the best value for the price.
